As IFFCO begins exporting its groundbreaking nano urea, two Danish scientists have expressed concerns about the product’s claimed efficacy. They urge independent scientific research to validate its true impact on plant growth. Max Frank and Soren Huste, in their study published in the Holland-based monthly journal Plant and Soil, caution about potential threats to food security. They argue that the claims made by IFFCO could be significantly exaggerated, possibly leading to substantial yield losses, affecting food security and farmers’ livelihoods. Furthermore, they believe that such overhyped products might undermine trust in sustainable innovations and the science supporting them.
