Favorable planting conditions have allowed US farmers to make significant progress in planting corn and soybeans, with both crops currently ahead of their average pace for this time of year. The latest USDA Crop Progress Report reveals optimistic figures that could point to a bountiful harvest season.

Corn: 27% of the US corn crop is now planted, which exceeds the five-year average of 22%. Additionally, 7% of the crop has emerged, also ahead of the average 4%.

Soybeans: Soybean planting is progressing at a faster pace too, with 18% of the crop in the ground compared to the typical 10% seen in late April.
