Saskatchewan Farmers Offered Safe Disposal for Old Livestock Medications and Ag Pesticides

Farmers in southern Saskatchewan are being given the opportunity to responsibly dispose of unwanted agricultural pesticides and obsolete livestock and equine medications. Cleanfarms will organize 20 collection events at various local agricultural retailers south of Davidson. Executive Director Barry Friesen emphasized the importance of the program to farmers, who actively participate in saving materials and delivering them to designated drop-off locations. This initiative not only helps keep farms clean but also ensures that these materials are properly disposed of, preventing them from ending up in landfills. It serves as a valuable service for both farmers and the region as a whole, fostering community engagement and environmental responsibility.
