World Cooperative Economic Forum Launched to Represent 3 Million Global Cooperatives

The World Cooperative Economic Forum (WCopEF) has been founded by leading experts in the cooperative sector to represent and champion the interests of over three million cooperatives worldwide, which employ 10% of the global workforce. The forum will focus on promoting cooperative principles, advancing the cooperative movement, and addressing sector-specific issues with governments and other global stakeholders. Dileep Bhai Shanghai, a founding member, highlighted the forum’s goal to engage with the international cooperative economic order in the pursuit of a more equitable economy.
